We will cover the following sections of the text, some of them briefly, so as to reach the most useful topics
The Complex Plane: sections 1.1 - 1.6, excluding 1.1.1
Basic Properties of Analytic functions: sections 2.1 - 2.6
Analytic Functions as Mappings: sections 3.1 - 3.4.1, excluding 3.1.1
Analytic and Harmonic Functions in Applications: sections 4.1 - 4.4

Grading

Your grade will be based upon your total score out of a possible 500 points from a 150-points final exam and seven 50-point quizzes. Unless exceptions are announced, quizzes will be Thursdays every second week of class, beginning week two. A tentative grading scale: 0-40% F, 40-53.33% D, 53.33-66.67% C, 66.67%-80% B, 80-100% A.
