- (Jan. 17) Registration on the online testing site
is now available. The first few online assignments are also available.
- (Jan. 5) Welcome to the Extended Education sections of Math 141 and Math 142!
These courses begin on Jan. 18 and end on May 6. To begin your course, follow the
instructions on the Getting Started page. Two items are
of particular importance before you begin the course:
- Order your textbook as soon as possible.
- Begin making arrangements for an exam proctor (see the Proctor
Arrangements page for details). Proctor registration will be available on Jan.
18.
Note: These sections of Math 141 and Math 142 are primarily for off-campus
students. If you are currently in residence at Iowa State University, then in most
cases you should be registered for one of the on-campus sections instead. However,
if you live far from campus or have scheduling problems, then you may be able to
register for this section - contact the
instructor for permission.
- As pages on this web site are updated, they will be listed in the Recent
Updates section below.
- Email advice: I receive about 100 email spams per
day, and it's always possible that your important email will get mixed up with the
junk. I certainly don't want to miss your email, so to minimize that possibility

and include "Math 141" or "Math 142" in the subject line, as
appropriate. In addition, be sure to include your name somewhere in the body of the
email. If you have a question about an exam or pretest, tell me which exam and which
question number(s) you are referring to. This will help me to be able to send replies

- Trigonometry Final Exam
- (Apr. 24) Reminder: The Trigonometry Final Exam
must be completed by Friday May 6.
- You are allowed to take this exam twice (but only once per day).
- Remember that you will need a 2-hour block of time.
- You may take as many practice unit exams as you want to prepare for the Trigonometry
Final Exam.
- Unit 6
- (Apr. 11) Reminder: Unit 6 must be completed
by Friday April 29. Remember that you can take
as many pretests as you want to prepare for the proctored unit exams. In addition,
you may repeat a proctored unit exam up until the deadline date (but you can only
take it one time each day).

by Tuesday April 19. Remember that you can take
as many pretests as you want to prepare for the proctored unit exams. In addition,
