Previous Announcements
Old announcements:
(dated in reverse order within each topic)
- General
- (Aug. 4) Important notice for students taking exams in the Math Computer Lab
on the ISU campus: Due to staffing changes, the lab will be open with slightly
reduced hours, Mon-Fri 12pm-5pm, during the final
week of the course (Aug. 8-12). Be sure to schedule your last exams accordingly.
If this change in the schedule will absolutely prevent you from taking certain exams,
contact me as soon as possible.
- (June 14) Proctor registration is now available. See the Proctor
Arrangements page for details.
- (May 18) Welcome to the Extended Education sections of Math 141 and Math 142!
Math 142 begins on June 20, and Math 141 begins on July 4. Both courses end on August
12. To begin your course, follow the instructions on the Getting
Started page. Two items are of particular importance before you begin the course:
- Order your textbook as soon as possible.
- Begin making arrangements for an exam proctor (see the Proctor
Arrangements page for details). Proctor registration will become available on
June 13.
- Math 141
- I recommend that you go back and look at the details of all your Unit Exams,
by clicking on the "View my results" link on the testing web site. If you
missed a question because of a very minor syntax error (such as using a comma instead
of a semicolon, or a capital "X" instead of lower case "x"),
then I will probably give you the points for that question. It you have any such
question that you want me to look at, please send me an email identifying the exam
and the question number, and I'll take a look at it.
- Note: It is especially important that you check your Trigonometry Final Exam
immediately after the end of the semester, because each question on that exam is
worth 2 or 3 points.
