• General
  • (Oct. 28) On Monday, Oct. 30, Microsoft will be releasing Internet Explorer 7 via Windows Update. Our testing has so far shown no problems with pretest and proctored exams, but there appear to be problems with navigation in practice exams. To avoid these problems, we recommend either
    1. use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer, or
    2. don't update to version 7 until after the course is over.
  • (Aug. 18) Welcome to the Extended Education sections of Math 141 and Math 142! Both courses begin on August 30 and end on December 15. To begin your course, follow the instructions on the Getting Started page. Two items are of particular importance before you begin the course:
    1. Order your textbook as soon as possible.
    2. Begin making arrangements for an exam proctor (see the Proctor Arrangements page for details). Proctor registration will be available on August 30.

  Note: These sections of Math 141 andMath 142 are primarily for off-campus students. If you are currently in residence at Iowa State University, then in most cases you should register for one of the on-campus sections instead. However, if you live far from campus or have scheduling problems, then you may register for one of these sections.

  • (Aug. 16) Registration on the online testing system will be available on August 30.

  • Trigonometry Final Exam
    • (Nov. 29) Reminder: The Trigonometry Final Exam must be completed by Friday December 15.
      • You are allowed to take this exam twice (but only once per day).
      • Remember that you will need a 2-hour block of time.
      • You may take as many practice unit exams as you want to prepare for the Trigonometry Final Exam.
  • Unit 6
    • (Nov. 12) Reminder: Unit 6 must be completed by Friday December 8. Remember that you can take as many pretests as you want to prepare for the proctored unit exams. In addition, you may repeat a proctored unit exam up until the deadline date (but you can only take it one time each day).

  • Analytic Geometry Final Exam
    • (Nov. 29) Reminder: The Analytic Geometry Final Exam must be completed by Friday December 15.
