  • (Sept. 5) Reminder: The deadline for completing the Online Testing Practice is Friday November 2.
  • (Aug. 27) Welcome to the Extended Education section of Math 140! To register for this course, contact the Extended and Continuing Education Office. Note that this section is for extended education students only. If you are enrolled in the regular fall semester at Iowa State University, then you should register in section E1 instead.
  • (Aug. 27) To begin the course, follow the instructions on the Getting Started page.(Aug. 30) I have modified the schedule for this course. Make sure that you print out a new copy.
• Math 142
  • (Nov. 25) In view of the tight schedule this week, I have made a few changes:
    • The deadline for Unit 6 has been extended to Tuesday November 27.
    • The deadline for the Trigonometry Final Exam has been extended to Thursday November 29.
    • For the Unit 6 Exam and the Trigonometry Final Exam, I will suspend the rule about taking exams more than once on the same day. So you may repeat these exams on the same day if you wish. The rule will be reinstated for the Unit 7 Exam and subsequent exams.
    • I have also extended the deadlines for Units 7 and 8 by one day. See the Detailed Schedule for the new deadline dates.

  • (Aug. 13) Online Tutors are no longer available in the MH "Tutorial Class". They have finished for the summer. However, you still have several help resources available:
    1. Email to the instructor - please include your name and class (140)
    2. Fax to the instructor: 360-358-3489
    3. Submit questions to the instructor via the Q&A Center of the "ISU-Precalculus" class on NetTutor.
    4. Check through the Archive Center of the "ISU-Precalculus" class on NetTutor. It may be that your question, or a very similar one, has been answered before. You may be able to get an immediate answer to your question in this way.
