About myself: I am an assistant professor at the mathematics department at Iowa State University located at Ames. I moved here in fall 2010. I spent the last year in IPMU, Japan. From 2006 to 2009 I was a Dickson instructor at University of Chicago. I did my thesis at Berkeley under Prof. Richard Borcherds.

My general interest in mathematics is in representation theory/number theory, more specifically things that have a flavor of the A-D-E Dynkin diagrams. One of my major project is understanding a still conjectural connection between a curious complex hyperbolic reflection group and the monster simple group. We have a pretty conjectural picture now of what might be true, mostly due to Daniel Allcock.
