Text: Calculus,  Varberg, Purcell & Rigdon, Calculus, 9th Ed.

 

Coursework: There will be homework, quizzes, one midterm and one final.

Homework: Assignments will consist of mostly problems from the book.

Quizzes: Will be given on Mondays and consist of 2 or 3 problems from the previous week’s topics.

Midterm: There is a 90 minute departmental evening midterm that will be given on Thursday Oct. 7, 2010. (There will be no class on Oct. 8)

Final Exam: The final will be 120 minutes and the exact date and time will be announced in a later class.

 

Grading: 20% Homework, 30% Quizzes, 50% (Midterm and Final)

90+ A, 80+ B, 70+ C, 50+ D, 49- F
