COURSE NEWS and ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • April 30 : The final exam will be given on Friday, May 7, 9:45--11:45, in our usual classroom (Black Engineering Bldg 1071). Here are some Practice Problems . There will be a review session on Wednesday, May 5, 2:15--3:30, Carver 204. Additional office hours on finals week are as follows: Monday and Tuesday, 11:30-1; Thursday, 11:30-1:30.
  • April 21 : The last homework for the semester Homework 9 is due Friday, April 30.
  • April 14 : Homework 8 is due Wednesday, April 21. For Friday (April 16): There will be an in-class exercise on limits of sequences.
  • April 7 : Homework 7 is due Wednesday, April 14. For Friday (April 9): There will be a quiz on functions. For practice problems, click here .
  • April 2 : Steven Strogatz wrote a nice New York Times article on functions. I highly recommend that you read it!
  • March 31 : There will be a quiz on Friday (April 2) covering Chapter 6 material.
  • March 29 : Homework 6 is due Monday, April 5.
  • March 24 : I will be out of my office from 2:00 P.M. Thursday (March 25) and will not be back until Monday (March 29). For Friday March 26: There will be a quiz on sections 6.1 and 6.2. For practice problems, click here .
  • March 4 : The Midterm Exam will be given in class on Wednesday, March 10. Here are some review problems.
  • February 26 : The Midterm Exam will be given on Wednesday, March 10. Time and place to be announced.
