I wrote these lecture notes over several semesters. The last update was in 1993. The chapter numbering follows the book Numerical Methods and Software by Kahaner/Moler/Nash. Some of the remarks in the text also directly reference that book. I think it is out of print, but you may still get something out of these notes.

The appendices are completely out of date. You can ignore those.
