Judo InformationJudo was introduced in 1882 by Jigoro Kano in Tokyo. It is an Olympic sport based on the self-defence techniques of ju-jutsu, including throwing, pinning, armlocks and chokeholds. These techniques have been adapted so that they are safe to use without competitors having to "pull their punches." The Iowa State University Judo Club trains two or three times a week in 202E Forker Building (click for map). The Fall and Spring semester schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:45pm for 6pm. Beginners are always welcome.
