Test-Out Procedure

Mathematics Department

 

 

Mathematics Test-Out Examinations are administered by the Math Department for the following courses:  104, 140, 141, 142, 150, 151, 165, 166, 265, 266, and 267.   Information regarding Credit by Examination (CBE) can be found at http://scs.iastate.edu/testing/testouts.html.

 

Math Test Out Examination Information:

 

Date:                Friday before Fall & Spring classes start

Time:                1:30-3:30 p.m.

Location:          305 Carver

Fee:                  $100 (nonrefundable)

 

The fee for the exam will be placed on your university bill and is non-refundable if enrollment in the exam is not cancelled before the exam starts.  You will also be billed for the exam if you do not pass. If you do not report for the scheduled examination, you must initiate a new request and pay an additional examination fee to take a future examination.

 

We do not provide study guides.  Use the course textbook as a study guide.

Bring your student ID to the test. 

 

If you do pass the exam, a "T" credit will be reported to the Office of the Registrar at the end of the semester in which you took the exam.  The "T" grade is equivalent to a "C" or better in the course.  "T" grades are not used to compute GPA and the credit does become part of the official academic record at ISU.
