Obtaining Licensure to Teach Secondary (Grades 7-12) Mathematics

 Students planning to teach high school mathematics need a strong mathematics background emphasizing calculus, post-calculus geometry, linear and abstract algebra, probability and statistics, and computer programming.  In addition, students need education courses to prepare them for teacher certification.
