Homework Assignments

General Comments about the homeworks.

Unless otherwise noted, the due date for off campus students will be one week later than for on campus students.

Please submit your homeworks electronically.  You may scan in handwritten material or anything else necessary, and save as a PDF file and submit that way.  If this is a problem please let me know.

For questions that involve creating a software program to run and generate output:

  1. Please compress the folder containing your assignment.

  2. Please submit a write-up (Word or pdf) that addresses each problem's questions.

  3. Please include code for the assignment at the end of the assignment.

  4. You must use Matlab unless you discuss other options with me. Please comment your code sufficiently so that I may understand it.  I will be running your code on my machine to check if it works, on image data other than what you have used to test yours.

  5. If you have problems submitting the output images from your homework along with your written part, submit a separate file for the images if you wish, with labels identifying each one, or put them on a webpage and send me the link along with the text document.

Please make sure that your answers are written in proper English.  When you submit your homework, make sure your submission is complete and everything is there.  This includes values for variables and outputs, as well as any discussions I have asked you to do.  Please label images and graphs clearly.

If you have any questions about the assignment, please email me.

There are two types of homeworks, one for geeks and one for non-geeks.  Please contact me if you have a question about which one you need to turn in (unless you would like to turn in both).

Homework 1 for Geeks, due February 5 (on campus); February 12 (off campus).

Homework 1 for Nongeeksdue February 5 (on campus); February 12 (off campus).
