Giants.

Giants are humanoids of above-average size. They often use arms and armor as men or elves do and and learns spells. Giants are more likely to have monster powers than other humanoids. The different types of giants are variously allied with good, evil, law, chaos, or have a human tendency to mostly follow their own interests.

Types of Giants.

Fire Giants Fire Giants are ten to twelve feet tall, size 2. They have skin varying from pink to brick red. Their hair is gold, black, or red, and they have red or yellow eyes. They like fire and withstand fire damage well. They are often accomplished metal smiths, fearsome in battle, and consider themselves the natural masters of the world. Female fire giants are sometimes mages and serve as tribal shamans.

Formoran Giants Formoran Giants arose from some other giant stock during an ancient magical war. They are hideously deformed with melted faces and mishappen bodies. Some have innate magical powers derived from their twisted origins.

Frost Giants Frost giants are nine to eleven feet tall, size 1-2. They have pink, white, or pale-blue skin. Their hair is white, gray, silver, or blonde while their eyes are blue, gray, or pink. They can stand the most intense cold and are comfortable with water, air, and darkness. They are skilled in the magic of illusion, the working of leather, and in working with furs and wood. They are arrogant and consider themselves to be the natural rulers in any land where they live. They consider humans to be yummy snacks.

Lesser Giants Lesser giants are scraggly eight to nine foot tall critters, size 1. They skulk in marginal territory and raid richer lands for food. They are dangerous only to those with no access to the services of trained warriors. By habit solitary, these giants tend to dress only in skins and lack equipment and the other benefits of society.

Leothoroid Giants Leothoroid giants are 8-9 feet tall. The males have a huge mane like a lion. Both males and females have yellow-brown fur over much of their bodies, retractable claws, and cat-like eyes. They have only slightly more than animal intelligence and live in caves. They eat anything they can catch in the way of meat. They collect their victim's possessions as trophies but typically make no use of them. Leothoroids live in family groups like lion's prides.

Mountain Giants Mountain giants are sixteen foot tall humanoids, size 3. They have dark gray or nut brown skin and short wiry hair of gray or brown over much of their bodies. They are slender for their size with exaggeratedly large joints. They live in isolation in the mountains for the most part. Mountain giants prefer low temperatures but can endure a great range of climes. Their typical weapons is their fearsome fists.

Ogres Ogres are a hairless, gray-skinned giant humanoid. Ogres vary from the size of large men to the size of small frost giants, size 0-1. They are tough all out of proportion to their size but compensate for it with stupidity.

Shu Ogres Shu Ogres are seven to eight foot tall humanoids, size 0-1, with substantial magical powers. They have both innate abilities and may also be spell casters. Those that do not cast spells are often experts in combat using oriental style weapons. The have fangs, a single horn, large violet or blue eyes, ivory to brown skin, and are bald. Even their mages are muscular and tough.

Sky Giants Sky giants are fifteen to twenty foot tall humanoids, size 3-5. They live on cloud islands or in mountain top castles. They are solitary and some are reclusive while other ally themselves with the forces or order. They find the lesser races trying but feel at least some duty to help them. Sky giants often have innate magic powers and some are also might wizards.

Stone Giants

Residents of deep places in the earth and the most barren rocky places on the surface, stone giants are lawful, canny, incredible stone workers, and somewhat isolationist. Ranging in appearance from humanoid cliff face to hansome outsized statue stone giants are made of the bones of the earth. Stone giants vary in size from 0-2 but are idetifiable by their incredible density. Stone giants tend not to use weapons or armor because they are too fragile. Some few stone giants are mages and most stone giants learn to throw boulders quite effectively.

Trolls Trolls are a old race that has been pushed into mountain fastnesses and into the underworld by younger, more vigorous races. They have gray or brown skin and black or gray eyes. The posses little or no hair. Many of them cannot stand the light of the sun (turning to stone when exposed to it) and the more powerful sort of trolls live on planes where the sun's light does not reach. They vary in size and appearance more than most other races.

A female fire giant shaman. This writeup is of a fire giant who has learned fire and earth element spells. Infuse force can be used to add dice of damage to a boulder, possibly devistating. She also shields her warriors to let them do well in battle and to permit her to fireball the area containing them if neccesary.

This sword was made for a sky giant by a collaboration of good wizards. Fixed in its hilt and supplying its activation points is an orange mana stone with 32 mana in it. The stone has been activated by an earth elementalist and so grants 6" of flying movement. The sword it +25 to hit, grants +20 physical elusiveness to the swords wielder, and permits the wielder to direct lightning bolts within 400" by making a stress save at +50, -3 per die of damage, -10 per bolt already directed in the current round. The wielder uses their spell to hit to target these deflected bolts.
