Some professors will require MyMathLab for their courses. If you purchase the textbook new, you will want to keep the MyMathLab Student Access Kit as long as you take calculus. If you purchase a used book, you may have to buy the MyMathLab Student Access Kit separately.

Each syllabus tells what sections will be covered in the textbook, and indicates the approximate time to be devoted to each topic. Individual instructors will adjust allotted times according to their own plans for homework and project assignments, quizzes, review and in-class exams.

The objectives document tells what the student is to be able to do upon completion of the course. Departmental midterm and final exams will be designed to test the stated objectives.
