      I chose the self-paced section.
      I wanted the lecture section, but could not get in.
      I did not care what section I enrolled in.
  4. The course website was used to organize the course, provide information, news, policies and schedules. What did you think of it?
      The web site is well-organized and very useful.
      It has too much material and it is too hard to find what I need.
  5. What items do you use to learn the material?

  6. What did you do when you needed help with the course?
      I haven't really needed any help;
      the online tutoring system;
      I met one of the TA's in 468 Carver;
      I got help in the Math Computer Lab, 449 Carver;
      I got help in the Math Help Room, 196 Carver;
      I hired a tutor;
      I discuss things in my study group;
      I ask one of my friends;
      I needed help many times and couldn't get it;
  7. Would any of the following have helped you significantly?
      more office hours for the TA's;
      an organized study group;
      a weekly informal recitation;
      a weekly formal lecture on the material;
      more computer lab hours;
  8. Overall, the computer testing system:
      was easy to learn and use. For the most part, I like it.
      was hard to learn and use. For the most part, I don't like it.
  9. How did you feel about the computer testing system?
      I like that I can take the test any time;
      I like that I can take the test several times;
      I like that tests are graded immediately;
      The practice tests really help me learn the material;
      I had many problems with the computers, the testing system, and the lab;
      The right/wrong nature of the exams is a big disadvantage;
      I had trouble with questions using graphs;
      I had trouble with answers using units;
      I had trouble with answers using formulas, fractions, square roots;
      I had trouble with answer using numerical values like 6.37;
      The computer failed, or had problems, while I was taking a test;

      I liked this self-paced, web-based approach. I would take a course like this again.
      I would rather have taken a large lecture course, and I will avoid a course like this.
