PATHWAYS - Detecting Pathways

PATHWAYS is a first stab at a code to try to process test information about the connections among a set of objects. The objects may be thought of as light bulbs, or chemical reactions, or biological processes. The test information can be simply that object I is directly or indirectly connected to object J, that from object I nothing can be reached, and so on. From repeated instances of this kind of information, an attempt is made to reconstruct the adjacency and reachability matrices of the underlying connections between the objects.

Files you may copy include:

• pathways.f90, the source code;
• pathways_prb.f90, the calling program;
• pathways_prb.out, the sample output.

The list of routines includes:

• ADJ_PRINT prints the known adjacency information.
• ADJ_UPDATE uses the latest test results to update the adjacency guesses.
• ALPHABET returns the I-th alphabetic character.
• INIT initializes the data.
• REACH_PRINT prints the known reachability information.
• REACH_UPDATE updates a reachability matrix for consistency.
• TEST_ADD adds the current test results to the test table.
• TEST_NEXT returns the results for the next test.
• TEST_PRINT prints out information about a single test.
