Chapter 1: Linear Equations in Linear Algebra §§1-5,7-9 (3 weeks) Chapter 2: Matrix Algebra §§1-5 (2 weeks) Chapter 3: Determinants (1 week) Chapter 4: Vector Spaces §§1-7 (2.5 weeks) Chapter 5: Eigenvalues and Eigenvectors §§1-7 (2.5 weeks) Chapter 6: Orthogonality and Least Squares §§1-6 (2 weeks) Consult the Math 307 calendar for reading and homework assignments and exam dates. Your course grade will be determined from (percentages subject to adjustment):

[40%] Written homework. Assigned problems are due one week after the day they are assigned.
You may work alone or with one partner on homework. If you work with a partner, submit one paper under the names both authors.
[10%] In-Class work. A few problems will be assigned every day. You will be called on to present solutions on the board.
