REQUIRED WORK

Calculus III covers Chapters 13-17.
Syllabus and Objectives
Your course grade will be determined from (percentages subject to adjustment):
  • [10%] Daily class participation. You will be called on to answer questions about assigned work, and to present solutions to assigned homework problems on the blackboard.
  • [50%] Quizzes. Fifteen 20-minute quizzes will be given, one every Friday. This portion of your course grade will be determined by your best 11 scores on the 15 quizzes. There will be no make-ups. Quiz problems may address anything covered up to the preceding Tuesday.
  • [25%] Written reports. About three papers will be assigned during the term. Working in small teams you will use Calculus to explore some scientific problems and report your results.
  • [15%] Departmental Final Exam.
