REQUIRED WORK

Your course grade will be determined from (percentages subject to adjustment):
  • [10%] Daily class participation. You will be called on to present solutions to practice problems on the blackboard.
  • [45%] Quizzes. At each Friday class meeting, a 20-minute quiz will be given. Your best 11 scores on the 15 quizzes comprise this part of your grade. There are no make-ups. Quiz problems may address anything covered by the preceding Tuesday.
  • [15%] Use the course ID alexander22869 and your access code to do homework assignments on MyMathLab. (The access code is bundled with new textbooks; if you bought a used textbook you will need to buy an access code separately.)
  • [30%] Final Exam. There will be a two-hour Departmental Final Exam.
Consult the Calendar for Math 265 §G2 for reading and homework assignments and exam dates and locations.

To prepare for class each day:

  • Read the assigned section(s) in the text.
  • Solve the practice problems; prepare to present your solutions on the board in class.
