Mathematics 201 § A: In-Class Work Day
Directions for In-Class Work Day
Class Monitors will be appointed Monday, 2 March.
Class Monitors lead the class to count off by eights to establish teams. Then:
- Each team uses a designated panel of the blackboard.
- In each team, select one person each to manage
- the direct proof;
- the proof by contrapositive;
- the proof by contradiction.
- Each manager leads the team in turn to construct the required proof.
- Once a proof is agreed to, its manager writes down an informal summary.
- Deliver the informal written proofs with team members' names to a class monitor.
Class monitors deliver the papers to the Math Department Office, 396 Carver.
